Founder's Legacy

We respectfully dedicate this space to the cherished memory of our beloved Founder Chairman, Late Sri. B. Bylappa, whose visionary leadership, unwavering commitment to education, and selfless service laid the foundation for the Don Bosco Group of Institutions under the Wayanamac Education Trust.

Born in a village near Shivagange, Sri. B. Bylappa completed his primary education there before moving to Bengaluru to pursue his secondary and higher education. Driven by a strong interest in technical knowledge, he pursued Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and began his professional career with Kirloskar as a young engineer. Through his dedication, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities, he distinguished himself as an accomplished troubleshooter.

After gaining valuable professional experience, he ventured into engineering and technology consultancy. His passion for innovation and entrepreneurship inspired him to establish several successful enterprises, including Prashanth Cylinders Pvt. Ltd., Prime Granites Pvt. Ltd., Prashanth Hiram Engineering, Prashanth Automobiles, and PRAW WELD.

Despite his achievements as an industrialist, Sri. B. Bylappa remained deeply committed to the cause of education and social development. This commitment led to the establishment of the Wayanamac Education Trust in 1999, with a vision to provide quality and value-based education and to empower young people to become responsible leaders and entrepreneurs of the new age.

His contribution extended far beyond education and industry. With a strong spirit of philanthropy and social service, he supported educational facilities for the needy, scholarships for deserving students, orphanages and old-age homes, individuals in need, places of worship, community halls, and other community-oriented initiatives.
